Williston, VT – Flexaseal Engineered Seals and Systems, LLC, a leading manufacturer of mechanical seals and support systems for pumps, is thrilled to announce the acquisition of Sound Seal and Packing, based in Edmonds, Washington. This strategic move not only integrates Sound Seal’s chief product, ViseSeal, with Flexaseal’s existing fluid sealing product offerings but also establishes a physical presence for Flexaseal in the Pacific Northwest.
Introducing ViseSeals
ViseSeals are custom-engineered bearings or restrictor bushings manufactured from proprietary blends of bearing-grade thermoplastic, carbon fiber, and graphite. They are designed to stabilize shafts in pumps and reduce water consumption in traditionally packed stuffing boxes of pumps and flushed mechanical seals.
A Word from Our Leaders
“We’re excited to expand our geographic footprint to better serve our customers and bring Sound Seal and Packing with their innovative ViseSeal product into the Flexaseal family of fluid sealing solutions,” said Trey Maxwell, CEO of Flexaseal.
“With our new presence on the west coast, we are enhancing our ability to service and ship to the entire United States, ensuring faster delivery and more responsive support for our customers than ever before,” added Alex Slauson, President of Flexaseal.
The Future of Flexaseal and Sound Seal
Sound Seal’s founders, Ward Forrest and Theresa Forrest, will continue with the company, and Flexaseal’s Jon Watzka is being promoted to Service and Operations Manager of the Pacific Northwest Seal Service and Repair Center.
The acquisition opens avenues to new markets and enhances Flexaseal’s ability to provide solutions to customers in industries such as oil and gas, pulp and paper, power generation, chemicals, municipalities, and more.
